Smoking tea isn’t new and is a practise that has been used for hundreds of years however in Japanese culture smoke is fairly new. Matsumoto had set his journey on creating flavoured teas that naturally enhance the characteristics of tea without artificial flavours. After much trial and error whisky was a clear winner along with pine and apple wood.
We chose to stock the Whisky smoked tea as it’s something very unusual and unique.
This tea has been grown using agricultural sustainable methods and has received recognition of the world agricultural heritage for continuation of traditional farming methods.
